  TAO/OTA
    Introduction

Ernesto Gasco
The streets of San Sebastian can hold a limited number of vehicles. Therefore, we must put into practice a series of actions to ensure a rational distribution of spaces. One of the most widely used methods to achieve that goal is the OTA regulated parking system.

We introduced the regulated parking system years ago, initially in the City Centre and later in the neighbourhoods. Thanks to this, we have improved residents’ quality of life, achieved a greater rotation of parking spaces, eliminated double parking and made shopping both more attractive and accessible.

Before introducing OTA in the neighbourhoods, we have conducted studies aimed at finding the most suitable system for each area, and taken into account the opinions and suggestions of both residents and shopkee-pers associations.

This leaflet contains all the relevant information to familiarise yourself with the city’s OTA system. This information is useful not only for the residents, but also for the thousands of visitors who come to San Sebastian
every year.

With everyone’s collaboration and civic behaviour, San Sebastian will continue to stand out for its environmental quality.
